Copywriting

The right words, on time, every time

Words that communicate beautifully

Professionally written content

Copywriting is the process of writing the content for each of your communications. This can include website pages, blog articles, social media posts, brochures, leaflets, advertisements, press releases – in fact, any type of communications activity that your business employs. A well written, well researched, targeted piece of writing produced by a professional copywriter can make all the difference to the success of a marketing campaign.

Using a freelance copywriter delivers a number of benefits. A copywriter can bring a fresh perspective to your product or service providing an unbiased, outsider viewpoint. As it is their focus, a copywriter will communicate with clarity and brevity. And your professionally written content will be delivered on schedule, rather than fitted in between other jobs like it may be if you decided to write it in-house.

I have over 20 years experience in marketing communications and have provided professionally written copy for projects across a whole range of different sectors and industries, both on the client side and agency side.

I approach every freelance copywriting job in the same way: first getting to know the client and the product or service, researching the subject where neccessary to fill in the gaps and then producing a first draft. I enjoy the collaborative process of refining the first draft and then produce the finished piece which will be proof-read for accuracy. And speaking of collaboration, I'll happily work alongside your designer to adapt the copy to fit the requirements of the final piece, whether it's going to be delivered in print or digital.

CASE STUDY

ERP Experts

ERP Experts are a leading Oracle NetSuite solutions provider. I've worked with the company for several years, developing copy for their website to rank highly in the search engines versus their competitors. This has resulted in their search rankings improving for specific keywords relating to both their integration and support services, as well as placing them as the 'NetSuite Experts'. As part of the SEO strategy and with a view to positioning them as thought leaders, I developed a series of blog artices and opinion pieces that demonstrated their depth of knowledge, as well as improving long tail keyword ranking. I also provide the copy for an ongoing series of direct emails targeting specific job roles with copy that recognises the recipients 'pain-points' and outlining the solutions that ERP Experts can provide.

Based in Hertfordshire. Available across the UK.

I'm based in Royston, in the North of Hertfordshire but work with clients all over the UK.

Of course I can meet you virtually using Teams or Zoom if you prefer, and I do enjoy using these sorts of collaborative tools to work with my clients. But nothing can beat a face-to-face meeting and I like to meet with my clients in person, especially at the start of a project and for updates thereafter.

I'm happy to travel to your offices or meet somewhere inbetween, having clients as far South as Surrey and as far North as Manchester.
