e-Commerce and online shops

Sell your products online, safely and securely with an e-commerce website

Woocommerce website

To develop a successful e-commerce store, I'll first meet with you to fully understand your brand, the products that you offer and the results that you want to achieve. This will allow me to design and develop an e-commerce website with a unique look and feel and features and functionality that are developed for your requirements.

I recommend using WooCommerce on a WordPress platform for your e-commerce website as it offers a solid e-commerce website base that can be extended and customised to meet your needs. This has the benefit that you only build what you require and the site will not include features that you don’t want.

WooCommerce is an open-source, completely customisable eCommerce platform, but there are costs involved with design and development and then ongoing hosting thereafter.

Whatever way you choose to go, I will guide you through the process of successfully setting-up and establishing your e-commerce website, making the process easy and enjoyable.

Shopify e-commerce website

The second option that I’d recommend is using an e-commerce platform such as Shopify. This is a cloud-based e-commerce platform which provides you with a pre-built e-commerce store that you can customise. I will set-up the store and help you to establish your Shopify e-commerce website after which you can run the site yourself, or I can help manage it for you.

Shopify has been used by over 600,000 businesses and is ideal if you want an all-in-one package and you're happy with the features it offers for a monthly fee.

Whatever way you choose to go, I'll guide you through the process of successfully setting-up and establishing your Shopify e-commerce website, so you can maximise the success of online sales.

e-Commerce costs

The cost of an e-commerce website or online store vary depending upon the platform that you choose to use and the number of products that you are planning on selling. If you choose to use WooCommerce, the site will need to be developed from scratch, whereas Shopify already has many e-commerce features built in. Factors that affect the price include the complexity of the design, the content required for each product including the imagery and copy, and the functionality of the site, including how you want to take payments and the kinds of promotional and marketing tools that you may want to include.

I'll meet with you to fully understand your e-commerce requirements and then provide a full written proposal and fixed budget. This will be defined by the time the project will take and the complexity of work involved. I have also provided some e-commerce packages below which feature the most popular options as a guide. CASE STUDY

Schwabe Pharma UK

Schwabe Pharma UK's website leads their direct sales activities and they wanted to update the site design. I recommended moving the website and e-commerce to a new platform which would provide a much better user experience for their customers.

A brand new site was designed specifically to work across multiple devices from mobile to tablet and desktop. All existing customer and sales data was migrated from the old platform to the new and the switch from old site to new managed without data loss. I provide onngoing marketing and support for the website including e-mail marketing, social media, search engine optimisation and technical support.

Based in Hertfordshire. Available across the UK.

I'm based in Royston, in the North of Hertfordshire but work with clients all over the UK.

Of course I can meet you virtually using Teams or Zoom or Slack if you prefer, and I do enjoy using these sorts of collaborative tools to work with my clients. But nothing can beat a face-to-face meeting and I like to meet with my clients in person, especially at the start of a project and for updates thereafter.

I'm happy to travel to your offices or meet somewhere inbetween, having clients as far South as Surrey and as far North as Manchester.
